Here's what's happening at Austintatious Productions!
Mike recently was hired to play an employee of NiSource, a utility company in Indiana.  Production ws done on location by Cohen Productions of Chicago and shot on location at the NiSource loading dock.  This was an internal video to spotlight ethics violations.
Saturday, October 30th, 2011, Mike was part of a "vintage", live radio play!  Mike played the guest, on stage, announcer for a re-enactment of the classic Orson Welles, Mercury Theatre play, "WAR OF THE WORLDS".  This show was produced on the Janesville Performing Arts Center stage in the same way it was originally done in 1939 with live sound effects and a cast of many!  Mike's part wasn't much of a stretch....he was the announcer.
Mike has been doing more web video narration lately. Above is a recent vid for "Da Bomb Media"!

Mike was cast as a "Cheesy Politician" for a recent video shoot for a non-partisan group called Refocus Wisconsin.  (www.refocuswisconsin.org) Check out the vid to the right....Mike's is the face on the left!

Mike...as a "Minister'?

June 17, 2010 - Mike was booked by his agent (Lori Lins Ltd) to voice the part of a "stodgy" reverend for NYCM Insurance in Rochester, NY!  the session took place at the fabulous, Fifth Floor Recording, in Milwaukee.

Mike Austin is now represented by Lori Lins Ltd.!

It was my wife's suggestion.  We were talking one day about getting new business.  She suggested I audition for an agent, so I sent off an audition package to a couple of places in Chicago and Milwaukee.  A week later, I got a call from Lori Lins Ltd and our relationship began.  However, they were confident they could gain new work for my "voice" business....but, they also wanted me to try some on camera work and ....MODELING!  Yikes!  Well, since then I have narrated videos for Abbott Labs, done commercials for Lemonheads Candy and several others and I have been on camera for Firestone Tires, a bank machine company, I was the voice of a Papermate Gel Pen as well as on a national spot for Chinette Comfort Cups...and much more!  I now get to go on photo shoots in Chicago and all over the Mid-West and have worked with some really fantastic producers in some very nice studios!

The Second Audiobook project continues.

Last year I produced my first audiobook for Angelus Press in Kansas City.  It was a long and learning process with a completed, 4 CD set called, "Anecdotes & Examples for the Catechism (The Commandments of God)". http://www.angeluspress.org/oscatalog/item/8408/the-commandments-of-god-audiobook Angelus Press is a Catholic publishing company with lots of Traditional books and audio.  I am now in the process of producing our second project.  This next book is called "A Modern Martyr, The Life of St. Theophane Venard".

Website Video for Dedicated Computing.

I recently got to record at Sound In Sound Studio in Milwaukee, with Jonathon Leubner.  We worked on a web video for Dedicated Computing.  I was hired through my agent, by MGI Cmmunications (THANKS Pat McKenna!).  This was a very technical project with tons of detailed and tech savy language.  Jonathon has a fantastic facility and in fact was recently nominated for a Grammy Award for producing a Folk album!
